ASTOP Sexual Abuse Advocacy Center
Advocacy, healing, and 24/7 support for survivors.
About the organization
ASTOP is the local sexual assault center serving Fond du Lac and surrounding counties, providing crisis response, advocacy, counseling support, and prevention education.
Their advocates walk alongside survivors through hospital visits, law enforcement interviews, and court, and their prevention educators work upstream, in schools and community groups, so fewer people ever need that help.
Survivors deserve to be believed the first time they speak. Supporting the organization that makes that possible is some of the most important work I do.
My role
- Board service for more than five years.
- Bridge between law enforcement practice and survivor-centered advocacy, especially around trauma-informed interviewing.
