About
Keywon C. Brown
Eighteen-plus years with the Fond du Lac Police Department, a certified forensic interviewer, a board member many times over, and a commissioned Notary Public for the State of Wisconsin.

Who I am
I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2001, my family and I moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. At the time, I could not have known how much this community would eventually mean to me. What started as a move to a new city became the place I would build my career, raise my family, and dedicate much of my life to serving others.
I am a police officer with the Fond du Lac Police Department, with more than eighteen years of service. During my career, I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of law enforcement. Each assignment has taught me something different and helped shape the kind of officer and community member I strive to be.
I started my career in patrol. Those years taught me the importance of being there for people when they need help, often during some of the worst moments of their lives.
I later spent nearly nine years as a Computer Forensic Specialist. Much of that work involved Internet Crimes Against Children, computer crimes, and complex investigations involving digital evidence. I examined phones, computers, and other electronic devices, conducted forensic examinations, assisted with interviews and investigations, prepared search warrants, and worked to uncover evidence that could help identify offenders and protect victims.
I have also spent more than eight years on the SWAT Negotiations Team. That experience taught me a great deal about communication, patience, listening, and understanding that sometimes the most important thing you can do in a difficult situation is slow things down and give someone a reason to keep talking.
One of the most meaningful parts of my career has been serving as a School Resource Officer. I have had the honor of working with students and families at Fond du Lac High School, Woodworth Middle School, Roberts Elementary School, Chegwin Elementary School, and Rosenow Elementary School.
I want to serve my community and be the adult I needed when I was a child.

Students should know officers as people, not only when something has gone wrong.
