Fond du Lac Public Library
The most democratic room in any city.
About the organization
The Fond du Lac Public Library serves the whole community with books, technology, meeting space, local history and genealogy collections, and programs for children, teens, and adults.
For many residents it is also the only free, warm, welcoming public space in town, no purchase, no membership fee, no questions asked.
A library card is the cheapest opportunity a community can give a child. Protecting free access to information and safe space is worth every hour of board work.
My role
- Board service supporting access, youth services, and community programming.
- Advocated for the library as a safe, neutral space for young people after school.
